We have previously spoken in “ how to learn Arabic” and in this article we mention reasons to learn Arabic:

reasons to learn arabic

1. Study of the Qur’an and Islamic Sciences:

Arabic is the language of the Qur’an and the sciences of Islam; Therefore, every student who wants to memorize the Qur’an and learn Islamic sciences first needs to learn Arabic. Therefore, Islamic universities such as the Islamic University in Saudi Arabia, Imam Mohammed bin AbdulWahab University, Umm al-Qura University in Saudi Arabia, or Al-Azhar University in Egypt do not accept non-Arab student students only after studying Arabic.

2. Living in Arab countries:

Many Muslims in Europe and America are looking for an Arab environment in which they freely practice their worship. The Arab countries are therefore a suitable alternative in which Muslims can raise their children a good upbringing and memorize their culture and traditions from being lost in Western countries. Gulf states such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait are a suitable alternative; in terms of economy and standard of living, they are close to European countries. In addition, they are able to practice their religious practices freely. So they have to learn Arabic first before settling in that country.

3. Trade in Arab countries:

The Arab market is one of the world’s largest consumer markets, with an estimated three hundred millions Arabic speakers in twenty-two countries, causing global companies and traders in Europe and America to head their advertisements and marketers to these countries. Therefore, those who want to use the Arab market to develop their trade must first learn the Arabic language spoken by all Arabs.

4. Travel & Tourism:

The Arab region is an attractive area for visitors from all over the world. At the level of religious tourism, there is the Grand Mosque\ al-Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, to which millions of pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims come annually, as well as the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, as well as visiting Islamic areas in Egypt and Jordan.
